International Nurses:
Video Interviews

Welcome

Welcome to the Nursing Atlantic Canada website for internationally educated nurses.

Atlantic Canada is made up of four provinces, each with its own nursing regulatory body. These regulatory bodies regulate the practice of nursing in the public interest by licensing qualified applcants to practise nursing, setting the educational requirements for those entering the profession, establishing and improving standards for nurses' practice, enhancing the continuing competence of nurses, and taking appropriate action on complaints about nurses' practice. Also in common is our goal to assist internationally educated nurses by providing information and resources for successful completion of the application process leading to eligibility for registration and licensure in Atlantic Canada.

On this website, you will find videos of nurses from various countries sharing their experiences of coming to Canada, including what it was like to adjust to new lifestyles and nursing practice environments. These videos are available in a number of different languages. For a video in a language of your choice, simply click on the appropriate image at the left side of this screen.

Each of the four provinces in Atlantic Canada has its own application process. To access documents required for registration and licensure in Atlantic Canada, click on the links noted below;
